The Tokugawa Museum of Art holds a number of treasures that have been passed down from generation to generation by the Owari Tokugawa family, which was the foremost of the three families connected to the Shogun family. From Ieyasu's relic "Sunpu Gobunmono" and other bequests of successive lords and wives, swords, tea utensils, incense utensils, Noh costumes, etc., we will introduce the history of the Owari Tokugawa family and the glamorous and prestigious daimyo culture. In particular, the national treasure "The Tale of Genji Picture Scroll", which is known as one of the most famous works, and the national treasure "Hatsune furnishings", which was brought as a wedding furnishings by Chiyohime, the eldest daughter of the third shogun Iemitsu, will also be a rare opportunity to exhibit as a special exhibition.
