Mori Arts Center Gallery "Machu Picchu Exhibition"
The "Machu Picchu Exhibition" was held at the Boca Raton Museum of Art in the United States in 2021 during the coronavirus pandemic, and has received high praise for its holdings around the world, with a cumulative number of visitors exceeding 540,000. This exhibition will be held in Japan for the first time in Asia.
This exhibition, which is approved by the Peruvian government, will display about 130 valuable cultural assets loaned by the Larco Museum, a world-renowned archaeological museum in Lima. In particular, you can experience the art and wisdom of the ancient Andean civilization up close through valuable materials such as golden ornaments excavated from royal tombs and ritual utensils used in temple ceremonies, including those that have been shown for the first time abroad. In addition, visitors will be transported on an unprecedented intellectual adventure, along with an immersive space that recreates the World Heritage Site of Machu Picchu with the latest technology and a magnificent story centered around the adventures of the Andean mythological hero "Ai Apaek".
The second installment of NEON's historical exhibition, which exhibits about 180 treasures of Egypt related to Ramses II, who is said to be the "greatest king in Egyptian history", and the "Ramses the Great Exhibition" (on view until Sunday, September 7), which is attracting a lot of attention, is "Machu Picchu". This is an "experiential cultural exhibition" where you can experience the sky city of Machu Picchu, which still hides many mysteries, and the ancient Andean civilization that flourished mainly in Peru, South America, with an overwhelming production.
