Minato City Cultural Property Town Walking Tour Part 4: 'Transportation'
This tour is a five-part town walk touring Minato Ward's cultural properties themed around Edo.
Starting from the question, "Why was Ieyasu able to build 260 years of peace?", participants deepen their learning by visiting cultural properties in Minato Ward.
An experiential historical stroll where you can walk through the city and experience the ideas and institutions of the Edo period.
Through Minato Ward's cultural properties, why not relive the "stories of the town" created by people during the Edo period?
~Details of the 4th 'Transportation' Tour~
Date: Sunday, September 27, 2026, 14:00–16:00 (Gather at 13:50)
Meeting place: Under the stairs of Shiba Daijingu Shrine, in front of Ginger Mound
Meeting place address: 1-12-7 Shiba Daimon, Minato-ku, Tokyo
Access: About a 1-minute walk from Daimon Station on the Toei Oedo Line and Asakusa Line / About a 5-minute walk from Onarimon Station on the Toei Mita Line
About a 5-minute walk from Hamamatsucho Station on the JR Yamanote Line Keihin-Tohoku Line
Event details: Visit cultural properties that played important roles in logistics and sankin-kotai (alternate attendance).
Course details: Shiba Daijingu → Zojoji Daimon → Shiba Park Kofun Group to Shiba Area → Walk along Hibiya Street and remember patriots connected to Minato Ward → Site of the Small Fish Market → [For those with time only] Stamp collection at Fudanotsuji Square
