Minato Ward is home to more than 80 embassies, about half of the embassies in Japan, and is home to many foreigners. Taking advantage of these characteristics, the Minato City World Festival is an event that allows visitors to experience world cultures and deepen international understanding and exchange with the cooperation of embassies and shopping districts in the city.
If you eat or shop at a cooperating store in the city and collect digital stamps, you can apply (by lottery) to make a reservation for a visit to the embassy, etc. In addition, due to social conditions such as the spread of the new coronavirus infection, depending on the trends of the country, Tokyo, and wards, the event may be changed, postponed, or canceled without prior notice. If you eat or shop at a participating cooperating store in the city, touch your smartphone to the NFC tag installed in the store, or read the 2D code with your smartphone camera and collect digital stamps, you can apply for a visit reservation to one embassy for each stamp. Target: Children between the ages of 5 and 15 by April 1, 2023
* Children under the age of 13 (elementary school students and younger) must be accompanied by one guardian.
Children from 5 years old to junior high school students can visit embassies and other places to deepen their understanding of the culture and history of each country and collect stamps.
