It's beer garden season and I was thinking about which beer garden I will visit this year. While there are plently of beer gardens in Minato-ku, no beer garden is as well as known for it's atmosphere than the beer garden on the rooftop of Arc Hills in Roppongi. I was curious about what kind of experiences I could have there, so I did some research.

The ARKHILLS SOUTH TOWER ROOFTOP LOUNGE in Roppongi, is perfect for those who want to enjoy a beer garden amongst the urban landscape.

Open from April this year until October 15th, it is open every day from 3pm to 10pm.

The Ark Hills South Tower, which located in the center of Roppongi 1-chome, is a 20-story skyscraper. While there are restaurants in the second story basement, the rest of the floors are office buildings. For that reason, the fact there is a beer garden on the roof top is not well known, making it a hidden hole-in-the-wall spot.

In addition to an operational beer garden, lush greenery and plants surrounds the rooftop. The rooftop allows a refreshing breeze to flow through, making it comfortable even in the middle of summer. If you look outside the glass panel, you can stare out into the cityscape, which can also be enjoyed at night. From the side-by-side seats, you can see the lights of Shinjuku and the Jingu forest at night. From the table seats, you can catch a glimpse of Tokyo Tower lit up.

The beer garden has tables that can seat up to 4 people and large groups, sofa seats that can seat up to 6 people, and side-by-side row seating. Thus, it can be used for a variety of occassions such as after work, dates, family dinners, or a girls' night out. It will spice up your weekdays and summer days and make them more exciting.

There are four plans available at the beer garden. You can grill the ingredients to your heart's content by using the grill at each table. Appetizers, thick slices of red meat, and foil grilled options are available in this luxurious and delicious French barbecue plan. All-you-can-drink service for 120 minutes is included.

●Casual BBQ Course

A plan where you can enjoy thick beef, chicken, and sausage. For seafood, there is salmon grilled in foil, and grilled vegetables and tapas are also available. It is a casual plan yet sastifying plan with meat and vegetables.

●TURF ＆ SURF BBQ Course

The "TURF ＆ SURF BBQ Course" is the most popular. Three types of high quality meat are paired with luxurious seafood such as shrimp and abalone. Since appetizers, vegetables, and tapas are also included, it is very sastifying.

●STEAK ＆ LOBSTER BBQ Premium Course

This is a superb plan where beef becomes T-bone bone-in beef and seafood becomes lobster and abalone. Recommended when you want to enjoy yourself in luxury.

●Buy Your Own Meat Underground to BBQ Plan

For those who want to choose their meats, there is a plan where you are able to purchase beef separately at "Fukushimaya" and "Nikuya Kakunoshin F" on the first underground floor of the Ark Hills South Tower. You can then bring in your favorite cuts or types of meat with you and enjoy it on the rooftop. At Nikuya Kakunoshin F, grilled Kadozaki aged meat, T-bones, and L-bones are available for sale. It comes with vegetables and tapas, as well as the all-you-can-drink service.

●A total of 12 types of wine buffet and stylish non-alcoholic drinks

All-you-can-drink does not only include beer, but you can also enjoy high-balls, sours, and even soft drinks. The 12 different wines offered includes 6 different sparkling wines along with 6 different roses, whites, and reds. A wine booth is set up in front of the lawn, so you can have it served to you buffet style. There is also a wide selection of non-alcoholic drinks.

The rooftop garden has a glass atrium that offers panoramic views of the heart of the city. Especially from the seats, watching the day turn into tonight is an amazing sight. Many people visit with their children, especially during the daytime. All children under elementary school age can enter free. Children elementary school age and up are offered a meal plan with all-you-can-drink soft drinks for 1,980 yen. It's a great place to experience summer barbecue.

This beer garden has an amazing atmosphere, so it is perfect for dates or girls' nights out. Reservations can be made for two or more people, and the side-by-side seating makes it perfect for a date. There are also sofa seats and fancy non-alcoholic drinks, along with a wine buffet. It is recommended for mom hangouts or girls' nights.
