On October 6th, 2023, Toranomon Hills Station Tower, which has 49 floors above ground and is approximately 266 meters tall, opened in Toranomon Hills. Located at the top of this skyscraper directly connected to Toranomon Hills Station on the Hibiya Line is TOKYO NODE, an information dissemination base that serves as a stage for disseminating new value, experiences, and information. We will take a closer look at TOKYO NODE, which consists of galleries, halls, restaurants, a rooftop swimming pool, and other facilities, and where various events are held.

In the midst of rapid social changes, TOKYO NODE was opened as an information dissemination base that promotes collaboration across a variety of fields and genres, including business, art, entertainment, technology, and fashion. The 8th floor and 45th to 49th floors of Toranomon Hills Station Tower are the TOKYO NODE floors, which can be accessed by elevator from Toranomon Hills’ subway station or taxi stand. First, you will arrive at the sky lobby on the 7th floor.

If you go up to the 8th floor via the sky lobby, you will find the entrance with the logo "TOKYO NODE." The logo was designed by Yugo Nakamura, a web designer and interface designer who has been active since the early days of the Internet. The entire building, including the interior, was designed by Shohei Shigematsu of OMA, a global architecture firm based in New York.

TOKYO NODE LAB is the center space on the 8th floor. Here, various companies and creators work together to create new urban experiences and content.

The lab space is equipped with a state-of-the-art "volumetric video studio", which is capable of recording, editing, and distributing 3D video with freely changeable viewpoints.

In addition, at the cafe and bar "TOKYO NODE CAFE," you can enjoy dishes made with environmentally friendly ingredients based on the concept of "food that is good for both the body and the environment."

From the 8th floor, where the lab space and the cafe and bar are located, take the elevator to the 45th floor. What kind of "experience" awaits you?

On the 45th floor, there are three unique gallery spaces, TOKYO NODE GALLERY A/B/C, which can accommodate everything from exhibitions to business and entertainment. By utilizing the galleries together, you can present a grander view. GALLERY A is a gallery with a dome-shaped ceiling that can create a 360-degree immersive space.

GALLERY B is an overwhelmingly large gallery of 1,020 square meters, and GALLERY C boasts a ceiling height of 12 meters. Exhibitions and events held at each gallery may require admission tickets, so be sure to check in advance.

An all-day dining facility, TOKYO NODE DINING, is located on the 45th floor. While enjoying the view of the city, you can enjoy a variety of Italian dishes made with ingredients from all over Japan.

From the Arrival Hall—adjacent to each gallery and the all-day dining facility—visitors can take the elevator or escalator to the 46th floor.

TOKYO NODE has already welcomed many visitors since its opening. The upper floors overlook the city of Tokyo, and many people are surprised by the spectacular view.

TOKYO NODE HALL, located on the 46th floor, is an event hall located at the center of the facility that allows for presentations, performances, and other events to be broadcast to the world against the backdrop of the view of Tokyo overlooking the Imperial Palace. Only participants can enter the hall on the day of the event. Various events will be held in the future, so be sure to be on the lookout.

On the 49th floor, which can be accessed by elevator from the Arrival Hall on the 45th floor, there are two restaurants and "SKY GARDEN & POOL." KEI Collection PARIS" (Scheduled to open on March 26), a concept restaurant newly launched by Kei Kobayashi, the first Asian chef to win three Michelin French stars in France, and the French gastronomy "apotheose" by Keita Kitamura, who worked as a chef at a Michelin one-star restaurant in Paris. Both require reservations. Only restaurant patrons may enter the outdoor "SKY GARDEN & POOL."

The vast open-air sky garden and iconic infinity pool are truly the symbol of TOKYO NODE (swimming is currently not allowed). At the "74th NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen" broadcast on December 31st, 2023, artist Gen Hoshino performed on a stage set up over the pool.

TOKYO NODE facilities are equipped with multipurpose toilets and AEDs on each floor. The entire Toranomon Hills area is also equipped with space and reserves to accommodate people who have difficulty returning home in the event of an earthquake or other disaster.

"TOKYO NODE has held exhibitions such as "Syn: New Horizons of the Sense of Body" by Rhizomatiks × ELEVENPLAY, which opened the exhibition, and ""Mika Ninagawa: Eternity in a Moment"" which attracted 250,000 visitors. The company plans to hold an interactive exhibition on the theme of music in the summer of 2024.
