Toraya Tokyo Midtown Gallery Special Exhibition "White Tea Bowl from the collection of the BANKO archive design museum"

One in four Japan people cite "white" as their favorite color, and white yakimono is used as a matter of course in daily life. However, in the long history of pottery, it was not easy to create "white", and it is a special color that was finally created through the wisdom and ingenuity of potters.
In this exhibition, we will focus on white bowl-shaped vessels that have been made around the world for a long time, and introduce teacups that have been used for "tea" in Japan's tea ceremony or that can also be used for "tea" from the collection of the BANKO archive design museum.
