Toraya Akasaka Gallery Autumn/Winter Exhibition "Toraya Trivia ~Edo Period Edition~"
In this exhibition, about 40 pieces of various "trivia" related to Toraya are on display, mainly from the Edo period (1603~1867). Please enjoy all this and that of Toraya that makes you want to talk to someone at the venue.
■Highlights of the exhibition■
○ Introducing trivia from founding to opening a store in Tokyo in chronological order
It traces the history of Toraya from the late Muromachi period, when it was founded in Kyoto, to Meiji 2 (1869), when the store in Tokyo was opened while the store in Kyoto remained the same.
○ Historical materials that tell the history of Toraya appear
In the center of the venue, historical materials related to trivia are exhibited on a monthly basis, such as the "Rule Oki Te Shugaki" of the 2nd year of Bunka (1805), which corresponds to the current work regulations, and the bamboo bamboo tiger Tora Aoaokai Gai Ai Sei Gorge from the 11th year of Dengenroku (1698), which was used to deliver sweets to customers.
