[No reservation required, free to participate]
Time travel to the city of Edo with your child!
With your smartphone in hand, set off on an adventure to search for the hidden 'memories of Edo' in Chuo and Minato wards!
"Edo Memories Tour" is a story-driven digital town walking experience where you use "oboro" photos capturing Edo landscapes as clues to find the same spot within the current city and take photos.
"Where is this photo now?"
Parents and children look around the town while searching for locations, and when they find the same scenery, they take photos with their smartphones! By completing the experience, you receive a "memory card" that records the history and stories of the place.
The guides are 'Oriku' and 'Ryuuemon,' who have wandered from the Edo period to the present. Together with the two, let's discover traces of Edo hidden in familiar street corners and shrines and temples.
Easy 3 Steps to Play!
(1) Open the free app "Auris"
(2) Visit the target spot while looking at the area map
(3) Find the same spot as the oboro photo, take a photo, and collect the "memory tags"
During the event period, you can join at any time you like without a reservation. Set off with your family on a holiday outing to search for memories of Edo! By consulting with your family and searching for the same place as the "Oboro Photo," you can enjoy walking around town like a game. It's also recommended as a parent-child learning opportunity to learn about the history and culture of Chuo and Minato wards.
Furthermore, if you meet certain conditions, you'll receive original prizes!
Collect "Memory Cards" at each spot, and if you earn at least 8 in the Chuo Ward section and 3 or more in the Minato Ward section, a "Receive Prizes" screen will appear on Auris. You can exchange them without visiting all the spots, so please choose the places that interest you and enjoy at your own pace.
Once you meet the conditions, show your Auris screen to the staff at the prize exchange location and follow the instructions to claim your prize.
Each person in Chuo Ward and Minato Ward can exchange prizes only once. If you meet the conditions for both wards, you will receive one prize from each ward.
The exchange deadline is Friday, December 25, 2026, at 16:00. Please check the business hours and closed days of each exchange location before visiting.
