Hori Shoten

At the corner of the intersection of Shimbashi 2-chome, there is "Hori Shoten" of the cultural agency registered tangible cultural property. Hori Shoten was founded in the Meiji era. At the time of our founding, it was sold to import the latest lock outside of the west, fittings hardware and fireplace hardware. Since entering the Taisho era, we have developed a product overflowing with originality centering on lock and fittings hardware, including the manufacture of lock, fittings, and ship hardware, and have reached the present. There is a shopping street called "Red Brick Street" where there were many red brick buildings in the Meiji era, and the scenery which leaves the retro-like atmosphere spreads in the vicinity.
