In this special exhibition, starting with the biological purpose of "dressing", while touching on the scientific functions of makeup in each era and hygiene aspects such as keeping the skin clean, "Why wear makeup?" I will explore the answer to the question.
In addition to makeup that is applied directly to the face, we will also introduce new ways to enjoy makeup as online communication increases, such as automatic makeup technology in virtual space.
During the exhibition, there will also be many events that can be enjoyed by various people, such as events for adults that reproduce the teeth of the Edo period, workshops using "beni", and lectures on face washing and sunscreen.
