Tokyo Metropolitan Teien Art Museum "Graphic Design in Postwar West Germany: Rediscovering Modernism"

This exhibition focuses on posters selected from the viewpoint of geometric abstraction, illustration, photography, and typography from among the graphic design materials of post-war West Germany owned by the "A5 Collection Düsseldorf" collected by Düsseldorf-based graphic designers Jens Müller and Katharina Zusek. A variety of works such as booklets and magazines will be exhibited. While inheriting modernism based on design education advocated by the Bauhaus and the Ulm University of Design, please enjoy the world of graphic design in West Germany, which pursues the expression of a new post-war era.
