TAKAWA GATEWAY CITY is a "Global Gateway" that connects the region, Japan, and the world, and is a base for disseminating innovation and culture with an eye on the rich life of the future.
JR East Japan sponsored the "SAKE COMPETITION" with the aim of promoting Japan sake culture in order to support the Japan sake culture that has taken root in various parts of the Japan from the perspective of regional revitalization, and held an award and award ceremony in June at TAKAWA GATEWAY CITY, which was a vibrant town in March 2025. Breweries from all over the country exhibited their masterpieces with technology and passion, and it became a place to widely disseminate the charm of Japan sake.
A special event will be held where you can enjoy Japan sake from "Isobo Sake Brewery" in Yaizu City, Shizuoka Prefecture, which won the "TAKANAWA GATEWAYCITY Machibiraki Memorial Best Brewery Award" in the competition. Please experience the outstanding sake brewing techniques of Isobo Sake Brewery and the rich food culture of the Tokai region in eastern Japan.
1. An event where you can enjoy the new sake of the famous sake "Isoboast" "the fastest in Tokyo"
On the "MAISON CLASSICSALON" terrace, which overlooks the entire Takanawa Gateway Station, a mirror opening ceremony will be held for the new sake of "Isobok" transported by the Tokaido Shinkansen from Yaizu City, Shizuoka Prefecture, where Isoboshi Sake Brewery is located. After the ceremony, a free event will be held where you can enjoy the new sake of "Isobo" the fastest in Tokyo.
After the ceremony, the "Ekinaka DJ Event", which is also a specialty of Takanawa Gateway Station, will create a space where you can enjoy Japan sake even more deliciously.

At the "MAISON CLASSIC SALON" on the 3rd floor outside the south ticket gate of Takanawa Gateway Station, for one month only from November 21st (Friday), dishes that are perfect for "Isobo" using carefully selected ingredients from all over eastern Japan will be served.

3. Takanawa original iso boasting and selling local specialties using "Hakobun"
At "Eki Park" on the 2nd floor of Takanawa Gateway Station, TAKAWA GATEWAY CITY's original label "Isobo" will be sold in a limited edition of 100 bottles per day. In addition, special products from the Tokai and Tokai regions collected at Takanawa Japan Gateway Station using JR Japan's train luggage transportation service "Hakobun" and other items will be sold.
