Okura Collection Museum Special Exhibition: The Tragedy of Loosdorf Castle, Vienna, Across the Sea
Roosdorf Castle, located near Vienna, Austria, houses a large collection of ceramics, mainly from the old Imari, and used to decorate the castle beautifully. However, the tragedy after World War II destroyed much of the ceramics collection. In this exhibition, along with the masterpieces of old Imari in the collection of the Kyushu Ceramics Museum of Saga Prefecture, the ceramic collection of Loosdorf Castle and the destroyed ceramic pieces will be exhibited, and works restored by Japanese technology will be exhibited for the first time.
