Hirosaki University Tsugaru Shamisen Club "Tokyo Omotesando Performance 2023"
Students who encountered the shamisen in Tsugaru will give a performance of passion full of youth, to the people of Tokyo.
The Hirosaki University Tsugaru Shamisen Circle was formed in 2005. Currently, it is one of the largest university Tsugaru shamisen groups in the Japan with about 60 members.
Special Guests: Miho & Diego
The duo consists of Seattle, USA-based instrumentalist Miho (lecturer at Pacific Lutheran University) and quena/sampoña player Diego (winner of the Columbia Folklore Award). Five-time winner of the King County Washington State Arts Award.
