Toraya Tokyo Midtown Gallery 48th Project Exhibition "Sento to Know for the First Time"

Sento has been popular as a place for daily relaxation and communication. In the hope of good health and longevity, there is a custom of enjoying hot springs unique to that season, such as irises and yuzu baths, and it is one of the Japan cultures that can be seen in common with Japanese sweets. Although the number is decreasing year by year, the Showa retro and emotional appearance has become the stage for movies, and the attached sauna is booming, and the younger generation is also interested. In some cases, public baths are attracting to commercial facilities that can be used as trendy destinations, and they are attracting more and more attention. On the other hand, there may not be many people who have actually entered an old-fashioned public bathhouse. This exhibition is an introductory part that can be enjoyed by people who are not familiar with public baths and foreigners. Please experience the world of "sento" where you can feel comfortable and warmth.
