Mori Arts Center Gallery "Keith Haring Exhibition: Art on the Street"
Keith Haring is loved all over the world for his bright and pop image.
Based on the belief that "art is for everyone," Haring spread art in subway stations and streets, especially in New York in the 1980s, in other words, in everyday life, to send a strong message to a chaotic society, and entrusted the future and hope of humanity to children. Of the 31 years of Haring's life, he was active as an artist for about 10 years, but the message contained in his remaining works continues to resonate today.
This exhibition is a rare opportunity to experience Haring's art through approximately 150 works, including a large-scale work that reaches 6 meters. Haring's art, which continued to fight against violence and inequality in society, as well as prejudice and lack of support for HIV/AIDS, transcends time and space and will shake the hearts of people living in modern society.
