Embassy in Japan in Russia Commonwealth. As a related facility, the consular section of the Federal Embassy in Japan, the Consulate General of Sapporo Russia (Hokkaido), Russia of the federal Consulate General in Sapporo, the Russia of the federal consulate in Osaka, and the Consulate General of the United Russia in Niigata.

Japan 1855, the Russia Empire signed the Russo-Japanese treaty. In 1858, a Russia consulate was opened in Hakodate. The Government of Russia in 1871 opened in Yokohama.
