Roppongi Hills Observatory, Tokyo City View - "Galaxy Railway 999" 50th Anniversary Project Leiji Matsumoto Exhibition Journey of Creation

This exhibition is the first large-scale exhibition since the death of Leiji Matsumoto, who created many masterpieces such as "Galactic Railway 999" and "Space Pirate Captain Harlock".
Set in Tokyo City View, you can enjoy more than 300 original paintings, including early works, materials that will be shown for the first time, and precious memorabilia, along with magnificent scenery. We will decipher the skills and power of Leiji Matsumoto, who has continued to express his unique worldview in the two fields of manga and anime, and the message entrusted to the future by his creative activities for more than 70 years.
It consists of three zones that trace the creative journey of Leiji Matsumoto. More than 300 original autographed drawings, ranging from pre-debut works to representative works, will be exhibited in one place, as well as valuable materials that will be exhibited for the first time. In addition, through the tools and books that he actually used in writing, interview videos, and memorabilia, we will trace his trajectory as an artist not only as a manga artist, but also as an artist who is not limited to manga.
