Shibaura Central Park
Add to MyRoute
This park is built on top of an artificial land made out of reinforced concrete to cover the top of the aeration tank of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Bureau of Sewerage Wastewater Treatment Plant. The park was designed for the renovation of the treatment plant. While most of the plants here are shrubs, you can enjoy seasonal flowers. The park is also home to a tennis court, a large green turf, and a children's playground.
There are 27 Yoshino cherry trees, 2 weeping cherry trees, as well as roses (which is the district's flower), flowering dogwood, and hydrangea. Other than that, azaleas, sasanquas, and camellias give color to the park in all 4 seasons.
