In 2014, Switzerland and Japan celebrated the 150th anniversary of diplomatic relations. In 1864, the two countries had a long friendship with each other in the wake of the first trade treaty between the two countries. In a special year of the 150th anniversary, many events will be offered that emphasize the close relationship between the two countries.
